Emmy's 2012 - My Take

For the past weeks I have been waiting for this day to come! Finally it's the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards! I was waiting for it because I was rooting for my Idol Peter Dinklage to win this years Outstanding supporting actor in a drama series where he was nominated (he played Tyrion Lannister on the hit series Game of Thrones). He won that award last year so I was kinda hoping he'd win it again this year! Any way, I'm still glad that Peter Dinklage was nominated still. I just love game of thrones. Zooey Deschanel was nominated too for the title Outstanding Lead Actress in a comedy series, too bad she didn't win! For the List of all those who were nominated and the winners for this years Emmy Award's you can find the list here.

I'm not a fashion expert, but here are my views for some of the red carpet looks.

Padma Lakshmi wearing a Monique Lhullier, and I can say that this dress looks good on her. perfect fit and makes her stand out. It also complements her skin color. I love it that Padma is rocking this dress so well. I love her make up also. Simple yet elegant in a way the she pulled off a neutral lip color.  I'm a big fan of big curls hair and I can say that she carried it well too. She looks stunning on this dress, suits her well.

And so I love this little girl! oh well not so little girl as she looked so sophisticated and so sweet wearing this dress by Zac Posen. Fits her perfectly and appropriately for her style and her age. love the sexy sandals too.

I super love this gown also by Monique Lhuillier. Ginnifer Goodwin could do a little smile to make the outfit prettier. I so love the details of the design. i love the bright color and the shoes are perfect for the dress.

Jullianne Moore wearing a Christian Dior Couture. I love her so much and she looks great in that dress, it's just that her hair is kind of missed placed. I'm just saying, she could have just made her hair tamed at the back. I feel like she's suffocating in this dress. But hey, that's just me. hehehehe

Claire Danes wearing a yellow Lanvin. For a mommy to be, she looks so great. Not to mention the baby bump showing slightly to remind people that we can be fashionable while we're pregnant.

Can i just say OMG!!!! I am now a fan of her dedication to look good. She looks so great wearing that purple gown by Zac Posen! It really revealed her nice curves, but i just cant agree with her purple hair and the hair dropping in front of her face. it just seems out of place for me. i just wished she could have dyed her hair blond again. Love the Red lipstick though!

this outfit is perfect! perfect for her and perfect for the occasion! love the baroque gold details! Vivienne Westwood did a great job on Tina Fey. Her hair and make up looks great on her too.

It's my first time to blog something about fashion this big. hehehe Hope i can manage to blog more about things like this. the comments here are just my opinion on how i see them. hehehe hope you had fun guys! comments are very welcome! Good vibes everyone

Starting Out

A few months ago, I started to get into the world of blogging. While I was still starting, I asked help from my friends who were already into the blogging world earlier than I was. I have learned a lot and also it made me very resourceful to research and widen my knowledge about the computer/techie/blogging world. I found it very fun and it made me feel so happy whenever i could write something. I really believe that when I write it boosts my self esteem and writing is my de-stressor (aside from my family of course hehehe) So I am now encouraging my siblings to blog. It's a way of expressing the things that you feel and sharing ideas to all of the bloggers out there who share the same interests as you. I am so happy that a close friend of ours is now starting to blog. Here is an example of his shots taken by him. This pic is posted on his site. I hope you guys could go and visit his site!

P.S

Im thinking of starting out another business soon. A business that my parents and family suggested that I would do because it's my forte. I think I might try it, because to hear from my family means a lot to me. That they believe in me that I can do it. Will be posting you guys soon on what it is. Have a great day you guys!!

Old Hollywood Glamour Wedding

I was very busy these couple of days because I was busy preparing for my cousin's OLD HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR Themed wedding! we searched all places to where we could find suitable dresses that we could wear on that day. Of course my son was part of the entourage as the coin bearer. The wedding made me remember the core value of why a couple wants to get married. It is because we want the whole world to see how happy we are to have taken our vows in front of a lot of people and of course with God's presence to manifest that the love that we have for each other is eternal! I am very close with my cousin Veneath who to her friends she is called as Vee, but to us she will always be our dear Shower! She lived with us for a while before when she first started her college life in CDO. My parents treated her as  one of their daughters. Even when she transferred to Manila to continue her studies there, whenever my Papa goes to Manila, he would always bring her Ham from CDO. When she Graduated from college, My papa was there to see her walk up the stage and get her diploma! Now that she's married, it seems like my papa had another daughter who got married also! Congratulations to Kevin also! who has been so good to us and the rest of the family! welcome to the family Kev! and I'm pretty sure his office mates who flew all the way from Canada had so much fun here in the Philippines!

It was a very beautiful day! a perfect day for a wedding! I have a few snap shot from the day of the wedding! hope you guys enjoy watching it! Credits to my cousin's best friend Ate Margie Mahinay for some of the photos!

my new york day!

my new york day!

my new york day! by katleenmae featuring t by alexander wang

Someday when I find myself standing at the middle of Times Square! this is what my outfit would be. Simple yet can be formal when i want to go to watch some Broadway shows or go to museums. I like the simplicity of it. I love that I chose to wear a wedge, because it makes me look taller and at the same time i wont find it hard to roam around the city and going on public transport would just be a breeze for my feet! I love having with me a large bag! I'm the kind of person who loves to bring a lot of things with me, because simply I just don't want to forget anything!

Farewell Michael Clarke Duncan!

picture from: IMDB

A few years back, my boyfriend who is now my husband, told me of a movie that he loved the most. He started to tell the story to me but i wanted to see the movie itself, it was "the Green Mile". So he downloaded the movie and we watched it together. We are great fans of Tom Hanks, but what stroked us the most was how the other actor on the movie was playing it so well. To tell you, I cried buckets while watching that movie. I could watch it over and over again and not get tired of it. Then we searched the name of the supporting actor playing the role of John Coffey, he was Michael Clarke Duncan. After watching that movie I became a fan of him. I know deep inside that big bulky figure was a gentle man. When I read his story that he used to be a bouncer and he dig at ditches, where his co-workers called him "hollywood" because of his constant dream of becoming a movie star, which came true by the way touched me. I will never forget him, I may not know him personally but through his movies he has made me known him enough to say that he is a good actor. Farewell Michael Clarke Duncan, may you see God up there in heaven and make good movies with our creator.

5 ways to win my heart

source: Photobucket

I have always been a hopeless romantic. I firmly belived that happy endings do come true and that there would always be a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow,Well hypotheticaly speaking. But i really believed in having a ONE TRUE LOVE. But to win my heart I will tell you 5 ways. Not that I'm still searching but i'll tell you 5 things my husband did that won my heart.

1. HONESTY
My husband has always been honest to me from the very beginning of our relationship. He won my heart because we know that trust is one of the most important key in having a happy and content relationship. Not just for married couples but in any relationship also, be it with friends, coleagues or within the family. I have always been honest to how I feel and to what I think. So I guess it's just right that when someone is honest enought to tell you the truth, you might as well be honest also.

2. LAUGHTER
They say that laughter is the best medicine! My husband, although he may appear to be as a shy and quiet person, he makes me laugh all the time. He tells me jokes and just by being himself makes me smile. I admit that i get stressed easily most of the time, but when my husband is there waiting to cheer me up, there is neee a dull moment when i'm with him. I laugh at the smallest things. Thats why it wasnt so hard for my husband to win my heart.

3. BE TRUE TO YOURSELF
What you see is what you get. I don't sugar coat who I am. I am true to what i am showing other people. Thats whyi fell inlove with my husband because he truly showed me who he really was from the first time that we met during high school. Showing your trye colors makes people more comfortable and will love you even more. He showed me how human he was and i accepted him for that. Maybe that's why we connected easily because we were showing our true colors. So he won my heart by just being himself

4. BE SWEET
Every once in a while, a girl would like to feel special. For me I want to feel special and how appreciated I was. Sometimes I may have bad days where I just want someone to shower me with kind words and sweet nothings! Although my husband doesn't seem to be that expressive, but when he does, he really swept me off mu fight. I always say to him that it's the smallest things you do that matters to me. He sets my alarm clock on my phone anytime of the day with a reminder that says "i love you" or the simplest things of teaching my son to pick flowers from our yard to give it to me anytime my son feels like it which is like always. how sweet is that!

5. GOD FEARING
My husband and I first met at the church where we both were going. I have always prayed to God to meet someone who shares the same belief as I am.And he made my dreams come true by giving me my husband who is very God fearing and knows how to bring me closer to God

So i guess those are just some of the things that i can say that can win my heart. I'm just a simple person that believes in simple but things with meanings.

the 1st of September

3 years ago i gave birth to a healthy baby boy via Cesarean Section. We were the happiest parents that day! Now my son is happy to celebrate his 3rd birthday. For months and weeks he has always been telling us that he wants to have Spiderman on his birthday, so we really worked hard to give him a Spiderman themed birthday. When we went to the party organized that i liked, they said that they don't have a Spiderman themed party. Since Thirdy loves Jake and the neverland pirates, I chose that theme for him but made his cake Spiderman themed. I guess he got the best of both worlds. Last Saturday, during his birthdayt, It started to rain so hard during lunch time, and I was very scared if the kids could still come because the weather was not that great. Then my husband had to go on a seminar that was last minute announced to them. Good thing my husband was able to catch up at the party! when I got there my cousin Gelo was there as promised to make what he called as "croquembuche" which by the way tasted so good! My 2 best Friends in the world was there also to help me set the table and everything. Thank you very much Elaine Butron and Kring Escano (we miss you Jiselle Fuentes) The party went great and the kids enjoyed the game and the mommies too! That day was such a happy day for thirdy, the kids enjoyed also the free ice cream and the cotton candies. I would give everything to see my son happy on his birthday! Thank you very much to PYCO fun factory for hosting yet again my son's birthday. Thank you very much to all who came and made my son's birthday extra special! to my family who made this possible thank you so much! To my sister kristine for making the cupcakes extra special and for those yummy chocolate chip cookies! For my sister-in-law thank you for those yummy fried chicken and meaty spaghetti that you made! I'm sure the kids liked it so much!

My sister made these spiderman cupcakes for my little man.
